Western hauler production

We are extremely proud to build these western hauler style beds for Super Trucks out of Augusta, GA.  This photo blog will take you through the steps as we make the next round of orders.  We are currently manufacturing for the Ford F650 but look forward to expanding production to fit other manufacturers such as International, Dodge and Chevrolet.

This photo is of 21 sheets of 3/16" 3003 aluminum.  All of these sheets will but cut into parts on our in-house waterjet machine.

Nesting software allows us to precisely place parts to minimize waste.  The cylinder pieces are weights to hold the parts down.  There is water under the sheet which causes them to float.  We are excited to be waterjetting in-house!!

These are the parts cut by the waterjet.  They will be bent, then welded.

The hydraulic press brake allows us to precisely bend all of the metal at many different angles.
Just a few of the bends.  New press brake dies are enroute from Vancouver British Columbia, do to arrive soon!  They will allow for more, creative bends.

The bent aluminum gets placed on fixtures then welded into place.  These fixtures guarantee there will be no flexing, warping or stretching.

These are fixtures for the sides.  Once the aluminum is cut on the waterjet, the right and left sides will be placed then welded.  These rotate allowing the pieces to be turned upright then welded together utilizing the main fixture.
